At each Little Elms nursery we have rooms and spaces tailored to every age and every stage!

At every Little Elms nursery you will find rooms dedicated to each stage of a child’s development. Whether joining as babies, toddlers or pre-schoolers, we have the perfect space for your little one! 


The baby rooms at our nurseries are calm and nurturing spaces designed to cater to both non-mobile and mobile babies. Our dedicated team focus on emotional, physical, and communication development, ensuring each little one thrives. Babies are welcome from three months old and have a settling-in period to get used to their new environment. Our team are experienced in making the transition comfortable for both babies and parents. Daily activities are based on the children’s interests and development, including messy play and exploration. The routine is tailored to each baby’s needs, and parents are actively involved in their child’s development through daily feedback and discussions. Outings in the local area are organised whenever possible.


The toddler rooms at Little Elms are spacious and bright spaces that cater to curious learners. Filled with engaging resources, these rooms facilitate fun and interactive activities, fostering cognitive play and natural learning. Children transition to the toddler room when they show increased independence. Daily activities include circle time, garden time, and free play. The rooms are equipped with a home corner and various stimulating activities to encourage imagination and play. Children get the opportunity to explore the garden and go on outings to the local area. There’s a separate area for art and messy activities, promoting sensory play and artistic development. 


Little Elms Pre-Schools are well-equipped with high-quality resources, offering a wide range of learning opportunities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to prepare children for school. Alongside planned activities, free play encourages self-initiative and exploration of interests, promoting self-awareness and confidence. Children transition to pre-school when they become more independent, and activities gradually become more adult-led to prepare them for school. Pre-school focuses on age-appropriate learning in small group sessions. Children are encouraged to develop self-help skills, and we include school readiness as part of our daily life to ensure a smooth transition to the next stage of their learning journey.
